{"id":2848,"date":"2018-01-15T20:33:38","date_gmt":"2018-01-15T19:33:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/videomappingfestival.com\/developpement-de-la-filiere\/"},"modified":"2025-02-06T15:48:15","modified_gmt":"2025-02-06T14:48:15","slug":"development-of-the-sector-2025","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/2025.videomappingfestival.com\/en\/development-of-the-sector-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Development of the sector"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>Development of the sector<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p align=\"justify\">The Video Mapping Festival is the main event of the Video Mapping European Center, which aims to support the development of the video mapping sector in Europe, and particularly in the Hauts-de-France Region.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">The goals of the Video Mapping European Center are:<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #51b9b0;\">\u2022<\/span> Produce reference data in order to have a better understanding of the sector&#8217;s evolution (economic, artistic, etc.) and encourage research through creation.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #51b9b0;\">\u2022<\/span> Train young talents and support artists in developing their careers.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #51b9b0;\">\u2022<\/span> Promote video mapping and the opportunities it offers to potential sponsors.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #51b9b0;\">\u2022<\/span> Encourage public encounters with video mapping works, develop cultural activities and visual image education around the medium.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #51b9b0;\">\u2022<\/span> Facilitate the networking of professionals and stakeholders in the sector.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Several actions are organised :<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #51b9b0;\">\u2022<\/span> <strong>A research effort.<\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #51b9b0;\">\u2022<\/span> <strong>Training\/workshops\/educational workshops<\/strong> for various audiences.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #51b9b0;\">\u2022<\/span> <strong>Creative and prototyping residencies<\/strong>.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #51b9b0;\">\u2022<\/span> Events: <strong>Video Mapping Contest, Video Mapping Festival<\/strong>.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #51b9b0;\">\u2022<\/span> Support for professional development in association with a <strong>production cooperative, Loom Prod.<\/strong><\/br><\/br><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #51b9b0;\">\u25ba<\/span> <strong>IBSIC (Image Beyond the Screen International Conference)<\/strong> &#8211; annual event dedicated the mapping sector, with international mapping great names, facilitates networking of professionals and actors of the industry.<\/br><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #51b9b0;\">\u25ba<\/span> Every year, in order to train tomorrow\u2019s talents, the Video Mapping Festival offers <strong>creative challenges and workshops for students<\/strong> in international animation schools.<br \/>\nBesides, the Video Mapping European offers <strong>several training sessions throughout the year<\/strong> : \u00ab Video Mapping Careers \u00bb (a video mapping training for young people under 30), a Collective Operational Preparation to Employment (POEC) training linked to France Travail and Afdas, and other professional trainings.<\/br><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #51b9b0;\">\u25ba<\/span> As part of the Festival, Rencontres Audiovisuelles welcome each year about 15 artists in Arenberg Creative Mine, during a <strong>creation residency<\/strong> bringing together video mapping, animation, and digital artists, researchers etc. in order to produce the original works that will be presented during the Opening night.<br \/>\nThe artists then work remotely while receiving an artistic and technical support.<br \/>\nThe residencies offer an opportunity for young professionals to develop personal creations.
