Arenberg Mine Site – La Porte du Hainaut

Rencontres Audiovisuelles, Loom Prod and Arenberg Creative Mine present an immersive mapping in the Espace Berri, inviting you to take a journey back in time through the evolution of the Arenberg Mine Site, marked by industrial activity, while celebrating nature through the story of the Mare à Goriaux, born of the consequences of mining on the site.
► The Birth of Mare à Goriaux
This immersive mapping takes viewers on a journey through the evolution of the territory along a timeline stretching from before 1900 to the present day. Combining 2D animation and 3D modelling, it highlights the transformation of the landscape and the resilience of nature, while underlining the collective responsibility for preserving the site. The visual journey begins and ends at night, symbolising the passage of time and the metamorphosis of the environment.
