Monument video mapping
This year again, the Communauté d’Agglomération of Lens-Liévin invites the Video Mapping Festival for 2 events one after the other, at 2 sites in the area: Mazingarbe City Hall and Étang du Brochet in Harnes!
In Mazingarbe, a creation on the City Hall reveals the different stages in the life of this building with an eventful history, first as the residence of the director of the Compagnie des Mines de Béthune, then as a maternity hospital, before being abandoned and finally bought by the municipality.

. Demonstration in the park by the Intercommunal Harmony (Mazingarbe, Aix-Noulette, Grenay, Bully-les-Mines)
. Performance by the contemporary music ensemble at the multimedia library
. Activities and workshops organised by the MJM (creation of customised corons and badges on the town’s monuments, “History of the town” quiz, etc.)
. Presence of the Historical Committee

In a magical atmosphere, the Château Mercier comes to life to tell the story of its metamorphoses: from industrial residence to wartime refuge, from maternity hospital with thousands of births to City Hall. Today, it also houses the media library, a place of knowledge and life, where past and future meet in the light of day.
